US President Donald Trump on Friday signed a big budget legislation approved by Congress to end a second government shutdown hours after it began. This paves way for $300 billion spending on military and domestic programmes. The House approved the bill by 240 votes to 186 in the wee hours of Friday after it missed a voting deadline because of opposition. After signing the bill, Trump tweeted that US military will be stronger than ever before. This also means more jobs, he said. House Speaker Paul Ryan said the bill was “a great victory for our men and women in uniform” as the military would get more resources.
