The landmark summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean ruler Kim Jong-un will take place at Capella Hotel (pictured) on Singapore’s resort island of Sentosa, the White House said on Tuesday. For the first time, the sitting leaders of the two countries will have face-to-face meeting to discuss denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula on June 12. Singapore authorities on Tuesday declared a part of the island surrounding the Capella hotel as a special security zone ahead of the summit. Weapons, flares, loud speakers and banners will be banned in the special zone. Police will conduct body searches on those entering the area. Drones are also banned.
