Trump calls Comey ‘untruthful slime ball’ after book revelations

President Donald Trump is like a mafia boss demanding absolute loyalty from his subordinates, sees the entire world against him and lies about everything.

This is how former FBI director James B Comey (pictured), who was fired by Trump last year, sums up his ex-boss in a new book set to be released on Tuesday.

After excerpts of Comey’s book A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership were leaked by US media on Thursday, Trump called him an ‘untruthful slime ball’ and liar who should be prosecuted for leaking classified information.

“He is a weak and untruthful slime ball who was, as time has proven, a terrible Director of the FBI. His handling of the Crooked Hillary Clinton case, and the events surrounding it, will go down as one of the worst “botch jobs” of history. It was my great honor to fire James Comey!” Trump said on Twitter.

According to the excerpts, Trump was obsessed with the alleged existence of a video in which Russian prostitutes said to be hired by Trump urinated on the bed in a Moscow hotel room.

Comey says Trump lives in “a cocoon of alternative reality” that he tried to pull others around him into, according to The Washington Post.

Meetings with Trump gave Comey flashbacks to his earlier career as a prosecutor against the Mob, he writes.

“The silent circle of assent. The boss in complete control. The loyalty oaths. The ‘us-versus-them’ worldview. The lying about all things, large and small, in service to some code of loyalty that put the organization above morality and above the truth.”

Trump has no sense of what is right and wrong, he says.

“This president is unethical, and untethered to truth and institutional values,” he writes, according to The New York Times.

Anticipating more troubles to the presidency the book can cause, Republican Party this week put up a website called “Lyin’ Comey” to undermine it.
