Dhaka: Over 80,000 Christians and members of other faiths gathered at a park opposite Dhaka University on Friday to celebrate an open-air Mass hosted by Pope Francis amid tight security. At least 18 Rohingya Muslims, who had fled violence in neighbouring Myanmar, joined the event. The Pope on Thursday asked the international community to take decisive steps to address the issues that led to the mass exodus of Rohingya Muslims from Myanmar. He had remained silent on Rohingya Muslims during his recent visit to Myanmar.
