Mexican authorities have arrested the mastermind behind the murder of senior crime reporter Miroslava Breach (pictured) who was shot dead in her car outside her home in Chihuahua on March 23. The suspect, Carlos Moreno Ochoa, 43, is said to be a member of Los Salazar criminal gang linked to Sinaloa drug cartel, state’s attorney general, Cesar Augusto Peniche, said. Two others were arrested along with him in Bacobampo town, Sonora State, on Monday while a third suspect Ramon Zavala, who is said to have shot Breach, was killed by unknown gunmen last week. Fifty-four-year old Breach used to write extensively on drug-trafficking and wars between mafia bosses in drug cartels. Breach is the eleventh journalist to be killed in Mexico this year.
