Man hailed hero for saving rabbit from California wildfires

A young man who saved a rabbit (Watch the video) from the wildfires in California has been hailed as a hero and symbol of faith and hope. Oscar Gonzales, a Pacoima resident, was driving on Highway 1 when he pulled over after spotting a wild rabbit running scared amid the leaping flames. Gonzales started jumping and yelling to draw the animal’s attention toward him and to prevent it from moving closer to the fire. Initially, the rabbit appeared to be confused before it finally ran into his arms. Gonzales dropped it off at a safe place and drove away. Some photographer who happened to be in the area captured the dramatic rescue efforts live before the video went viral.
