Residents of Malmö in Sweden were surprised when they tuned into radio station Mix Megapol early on Friday. Instead of the usual popular songs, an Islamic State (IS) recruitment song ‘For the sake of Allah’ greeted them. An unknown man with a private transmitter is believed to have hijacked Megapol’s frequency for nearly half an hour to play the song. The station has taken the matter seriously and reported it to the police. The song asks listeners to join IS and become martyrs to reach heaven where maidens will be waiting for them.
